Him - "Okay, go learn to sew"
Me- "knit"
Him- "whatever"
Me - "that is so going to be the beginning to my blog entry"
And with that encouragement, I went to a learn to knit class, where I was the ONLY student, presumably because everyone else already knits. The nice woman assures me that by the end of next Sunday, I will have made this:

Is this one of those projects that you knit the pieces and then stick them in a hot wash to get that fuzzy wool effect? I've been wanting to try that.

Lisa, I also took a knitting class last fall (I was going to make baby booties), but I only got a few rows done on a scarf! I took a beginner class and I was the only newbie - everyone else came to get "hints" on the projects they were working on! I can't wait to see your basket of flowers.
