Our mantel village, inspired by all the others I've seen this holiday. It never occured to me to put ours on the mantel before. And the entire family actually noticed. I do a lot of decorating, arranging and rearranging around here, and not much gets much comment. But the village was a big success. It wasn't until it was all set up, that I noticed - I have three churches. We'll pretend one is the Catholic church, one is the Presbyterians church and one is for the Lutherans.
edited to add: Or as a friend pointed out, if this were a midwestern village, these could all be different Lutheran denominations, one for the Swedes, one for the Danes and one for the Norwegians :)
The one on the far right looks exactly like my Lutheran church at home. :)

I think there is something missing in that village... it begins with an "S" and it has arrived at every American street corner selling coffee :)

It's a beautiful village! You have done a great job - it looks like you have a wonderful fireplace - would you like to post a picture of it?
Oh, and, we are not in the midwest, but we have 5 lutheran churches in our city of 15,000...

Your title here made me laugh out loud. I wish you'd write a book. You're such a hoot.
