I am embarrassed to admit how excited I am about the 70s style Tupperware cake carrier my mother brought over yesterday. Look at that handle!
Here is an update about what we've been eating the last week and a half:
We have had Sweet Potato and Turkey hash from Foster's Market cookbook. Do you know about her? The cookbook is a couple of years old and now Sara Foster is a contributing editor at Cottage Living magazine. Her recipes are usually among my favorites.
White Bean and Rosemary soup from Barefoot Contessa. Her recipes are only available for a short time on the Food Network website. I always maker her Spinach Gratin for Thanksgiving, and every year, I forget to save the recipe, and spend a bunch of time looking for it online, only by then, it has been removed from the website and as a last option, I start paging through my cookbooks and remember - I have it in one of the books. Every year. Thank goodness.
Brownies off the back of the Baker's unsweetened chocolate square box. Which are the brownies I grew up with. Fudgey brownies. We have an ongoing disagreement, because I like the fudgey brownies and the dad likes cakey brownies. And even worse, with nuts!
We also had one of my very favorite dishes of all time. Rachael Ray's version of vodka pasta.
yum, I'm coming over to eat! ;)
