We are back home from a week at the cabin. There was a lot of family time. I am ready for a little break.
We went swimming
Picked strawberries
Went to a family picnic
Visited the headwaters of the Mississippi.
Saw the biggest pine tree (white, red?) in Minnesota.
Climbed a firetower
And saw the state flower - Showy Ladies Slipper, which I was always led to believe was a small delicate orchid. It is huge with leaves like a hosta and flowers the size of my fist. Crazy!
We got home to lots of sheppard girls orders and a garden that looks like a jungle. It is going to be 95 degrees today, so I cannot guarantee that much more than a visit to the swimming pool will be accomplished today.
Oh, Lisa, I love these photos. Your vacation sounds wonderful.
I love the idea of going to a cabin. You should invite me next year. I do dishes. Also, I can babysit.
