I got my Steele Canvas basket.  It is so cool and looks way better than the dust collector of a wicker basket that previously held all the weird odds and ends of toys in our family room.  I wish our last name was Steele.

Why I love our neighborhood

Yet another reason why I love our neighborhood.  We came home to find this custom designed glow-in-the-dark Sassy Sign on our lawn earlier this week.

Guess how we spent our early Monday morning?

Everything is fine now.  Wet and smelly, but fine. 

The big one and the little one were very excited that they would have something to tell at "morning meeting".

Water

 

With two lunches and two snacks to pack each day, plus dairy allergies that eliminate the option of buying a school milk, I am horrified by the number of water bottles we are using each day. 

The dad and I both use Siggs (Although a few weeks ago the dad actually said to me - you haven't been putting out my water bottle, so I haven't been drinking any water all week.  That really deserves it own post.) so it seemed like a pretty easy solution to have the big one and the little one just bring Siggs back and forth to school each day too. 

Oh the drama.  Hello Kitty, retro or not, is so not cool enough for 5th grade.

Let's get together...

The families in our neighborhood are getting together to watch movies in one family's backyard.  We are watching the original Parent Trap.  The adults are VERY excited.

Crushing on...

these canvas carts from Steele Canvas.  Went to the website and saw that they were recently featured in Martha Stewart and Cookie magazine.  Both of those issues are in my house.  Not so original with the crushes apparently.
