I have a new food blog love! Smitten Kitchen. These past two weeks I have been trying to use up what we have in our freezer before making another trip to the grocery store. CSA boxes makes this much easier since we are still getting fresh vegetables and some fruit each week. Earlier in the week I pulled out bone-in beef short ribs from the freezer and went looking for a recipe. I came across this one from Smitten Kitchen.
Of course then my little meat eater went on a sleepover and my big meat eater went to a Tweetup after work and didn't get home until 9:30, but after his evening snack of spareribs and fresh pasta, he declared it one of the best things I've ever made.
After that I had chicken and tons of green beans, so I found this marinade. Spicy and excellent on the beans as well.
In a few minutes my mother in law and one of her sisters are stopping by for a visit, so Blueberry Boy Bait, Smitten Kitchen and our shared love of quick company cakes to the rescue.
